Mountains Arts Xpo 2022BEING HELD AT THE FAIRMONT IN SEPT 2022
Thank you to Patrick Hromas for the plug below which he placed on his Facebook page to kick off our promotion of MAX22!
Peter is our first ‘Feature Artist’ in our new regular invitation to come and review the work of Featured Artists currently in our Virtual Artisan Fair on the MAX21 website.. He is a photographer whose stunningly beautiful work captures the fleeting glory of light and spectacle that dances across the Blue Mountains region that we sometimes need to see through an artist’s eye to fully appreciaste.
The extended COVID-19 lockdown in Greater Sydney presents us with many unknowns, and as a result, we have decided that an in-person MAX21 Artisans Fair event this year would be too risky and challenging to attempt. We are however maintaining a virtual presence online as if the actual live event was still happening, so follow the link to the virtual artisans fair, and enjoy.
As part of 2021’s Blue Mountains Arts Festivals, BMCAN’s Mountains Arts Xpo 2021 (MAX21) was to be held at the Fairmont Resort from 9-17 October, (inclusive of the two weekends), featuring all the different art forms that make up our gifted community of artists, performers, and creatives.
With the postponement of the live event till this year, we still want to continue with the spirit of the event online in the build-up to the actual live event in September, still to be held at the Fairmont, so welcome to the online version of the MAX Xpo.
A highlight of MAX is the wonderful artisan market, curated by Christina Mija, Trish Fraunfelter, and Julie Ankers, which still has the virtual feel of being held on the oval at the Fairmont resort all the way throughout the year in the lead-up to the event.
With over 20 exhibitors, the fair will not only highlight a vast array of superb arts and crafts, it will also feature some of our most outstanding local and regional wine and food producers, providing a great opportunity for all our artisans to showcase their work.
By clicking through to their online presence here on the MAX22 website it is a great opportunity to discover art, craft and food available in the region and beyond, and to experience a growing cultural community that is not going to be diminished by natural and pandemic disasters. During the extended run of this website, you will be able to experience engagement with the artists and artisan’s through similar promotions, specials, and personal engagements, as well as a wealth of information about their, practices, products, and artistic processes to even a larger extent than any live event.
So click the link below, go to the map, and begin to enjoy all that the participants have to offer.
If you are a creator and wish to join the Xpo at any time or to find out more about BMCAN email email@example.com.
